Emel Aslan

Emel Aslan

He was born in Antalya in 1975. He studied Environmental Engineering at METU. After working in different disciplines in the private sector in Ankara for years, he resigned in 2008 and turned to more arbitrary jobs. He started working as a freelance translator and got involved in writing and drawing. He was one of the founders, editors and writers of the culture, art, literature and entertainment magazine called Mahalle Press, published in Ankara between 2011 and 2013. He translated various books for METU Publishing. He currently translates theater plays for State Theaters and private theaters under ONK Agency, and writes stories, essays and reviews. The author, who is a member of the Turkish Crime Writers Association (POYABİR), has his detective-thriller stories published regularly in the monthly digital detective e-magazine Detective Magazine and in various story selections.
