Ekin Açıkgöz

Ekin AÇIKGÖZ was born and raised in Ankara. He first studied Statistics, then Turkish Language and Literature. He worked as a translator, mathematics teacher, animator, banker and manager. He still works as a white collar worker and continues to work on detective fiction outside of working hours.

His novel, There is Something Good in Everything, was published in 2015. His stories have appeared in various compilations. He wrote review articles in 221B Detective Magazine. He is an active volunteer of the cinairoman.com platform, Turkey's crime archive. He is a board member of the Turkish Crime Writers Association (Poyabir). He has been a member of the jury for the Kristal Kelepçe Crime Novel of the Year award since its inception. He has been a member of the selection committee of the Turkish Informatics Association (TBD) Science Fiction Short Story Competition for eight years. He lives in Istanbul with his wife and two children.
